We are about 10 minutes from the wonderful East Clare golf Course.
East Clare golf Course
Set in 150 acres of unspoilt, rolling, quiet countryside with majestic views of East Clare. The course is very popular with visitors from both overseas and within Ireland, and hosted the 1998 West of Ireland Seniors Championship.

East Clare Golf Club operates a "pay as you play" policy for visitors ensuring visitors can be accommodated at all times. Club membership is also currently open to new members.

The parkland championship course, designed by noted golf architect Dr. Arthur Spring, was opened in 1997 and is located just 5 minutes from beautiful Lough Derg and about 35 minutes from Shannon Airport. This par 71 course with more than 5,920 metres (over 6,500 yards) of fairways includes several strategically placed and potentially hazardous lakes, streams, bunkers and trees.

Thanks to nature, the finest blend of links and parkland courses in Ireland are probably in the Shannon Region. The Region covers counties Clare, Limerick, North Tipperary and South Offaly and has 25 quality courses, from natural links or parkland terrain, offer our visiting golfers an extensive choice and outstanding challenge. Add a great welcome and ambience in the clubhouse, a wide range of quality accommodation options, excellent food and entertainment, and you have the ingredients of a memorable Irish golf break.

The Shannon Region boasts a number of world-class championship links courses in spectacular settings .

On the west coast of Clare lies Lahinch, a legendary links course established in 1892. The Old Lahinch Course is a formidable challenge in a spectacular setting. The South of Ireland Championships is held there annually. Across the road the Lahinch Castle Course provides a slightly less challenging option.

Just further south, is the Doonbeg Golf Resort, opened in 2002. This links masterpiece by Greg Norman, has been developed out of such a natural habitat that you would be convinced that it, too, was built in the 19th century. Massive dunes stretch along a mile and a half of crescent shaped beach, with the Atlantic visible from almost every hole.

North of Lahinch lies Spanish Point, a tricky little 9-hole links, where accuracy is essential to register a good scorescore.
